Given this cancellation, and NYSED’s practice of introducing new Regents exams in June, the US History & Government (Framework) administration will not be offered in August 2022 or January 2023 either. In response to this, further guidance will be shared with principals and staff regarding the approval of a graduation exemption for students scheduled to sit for this exam, impact to MOSL selections, as well as other assessments that we planned to administer.
In light of the Regents exam being cancelled by NYSED, June 1, 2022 will be considered a full instructional day, and attendance must be taken per typical requirements. Principals have been informed that the DOE’s family-facing website and calendar is being updated to reflect this cancellation, as well.
