Attention Class of 2023 Parents/Guardians,
Congratulations on making it to Senior Year! We know the past 3 years have been especially
challenging and HPHS is very proud of the hard work and dedication it took to get here. We look
forward to celebrating this accomplishment throughout the year. More information about events such as
a senior trip, prom and graduation is forthcoming, but for now it is important that you understand the
following:
1.Senior Dues: Senior Dues for the Class of 2023 will be $130.00 per student. The funds will be put
towards the Graduation Cap and Gown, 2023 Custom Tassel, 2023 Yearbook, 2023 Senior Sweatshirt,
and the 2023 Senior Breakfast Cruise. Payments can be made in cash or online. Cash payments can
be made to Ms. Keren in Room 208A any day before the deadline. Online payment instructions are on
the next page.
Payment Deadlines for Seniors Dues are as follows:
Senior Dues payment #1- Due by January 6th - $65
Senior Dues payment #2- Due by April 5th - $65
Students who do not pay their dues in full by March 3rd run the risk of not being allowed to
participate in the graduation ceremony or other senior events. If you have any financial restraints
and can not meet this obligation by the due dates, please contact your childs’ counselor as soon as you
can and we will attempt to address your individual needs.
2. Discipline Code Violations: If any student violates The New York City Department of Education
Discipline Code, they will be barred from senior activities and ceremonies. This includes any
problematic behavior that occurs on school property or on any school sponsored activity.
3. Guidance: Please note that in order to be named the class Valedictorian or Salutatorian, you must
have attended HPHS for 3 consecutive years. Any questions about this, please reach out to your
guidance counselor.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
