: In celebration of NYC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s 100 years of serving public health and the criminal justice system through forensic science, OCME hosted the first ever Creating Our Own Wakanda Challenge , a science fair-style challenge inspired by the movie “Black Panther”. Science-focused high schools, specifically those with a high enrollment of minority students, presented medical-scientific research projects directly to the Chief Medical Examiner and agency scientists. The projects— based on 3 historic discoveries by Black doctors in which unique medical issues of the day were addressed— also examined how modern technology has changed surgery and treatment options.

On April 24, 2018 all 10th graders will be taking the PSAT. All 11th graders will be taking the SAT. In order to implement these two exams, we will have a special schedule.
